About Sheila Francisco
Sheila Francisco is a Boston-based multimedia artist, photographer, and art educator. Raised in Berkshire County, she developed her passion for creating at the Flying Cloud summer camp, where she first learned to connect art with nature and scientific exploration. This early exposure to the region's vibrant arts community inspired her to pursue a BFA in Photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt).
As a freelance photographer, Sheila specializes in a unique portrait style focused on authentic storytelling and human connection. Following her BFA, she expanded her professional expertise with a year of museum operations at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, before transitioning into youth arts education at the Cambridge YMCA. Driven by a passion for sharing the creative process, she spent two years teaching after-school art and camp programs before returning to MassArt, where she is currently earning her Master’s in Art Education to bridge the gap between community, education, and visual art.
